Can't turn on problem

[TOC]

1. Problem Phenomenon

The machine is normally powered on and does not turn on.

DVR products: the display does not light up, the indicator light does not light up.

DashCam products: no power-on beep, indicator light does not light up, can't search the device's wifi.

2. Analysis steps

The following steps can be followed to troubleshoot the causes of the problem one by one:

Check the supply voltage of the machine.

Check if the line connection status is normal.

Check if the failure to power on is caused by inserting a damaged memory card, accessing a damaged camera, etc.

Check whether it is because the Faraday capacitor is not completely discharged and powered on again, resulting in the inability to turn on the power.

Check if it is because of dropped programs, i.e. some of the programs are lost while the device is working causing it to fail to power on.

For DashCam products with reset button, you can long press the reset button to restore WiFi factory settings.

Check if it is an external wifi machine, such as the T5504B, which needs to be connected to an external wifi in order to search for the device's wifi.

DVR product hard drive lock is open, open can not be turned on.

3. Operating instructions

1. Check the supply voltage of the machine

Normal power on, check whether the device power indicator is not lit, if the power light is not lit, you need to check the device power supply.

The device supports normal operation under wide voltage of 9V-36V and supports 12V/24V power input.

The device is turned on with the low voltage shutdown function and the voltage needs to be adjusted to a higher value than the set low voltage shutdown value to turn on the device.

Equipment with a microcontroller, if the voltage at the time of shutdown is 24V car, after the power failure, access to 12V car will lead to the failure to turn on the power, you need to access 24V.

2. Check if the line connection status is normal

Check that the power cord is connected properly and that there is no unplugged condition.

Check the ACC on status to see if it is off.

3. Check if it is caused by external factors

A damaged memory card is inserted.

Connected to a damaged camera.

Connected to a damaged display.

It is recommended to power up the machine bare to exclude external factors.

4. Checking Faraday capacitor discharge

After the device is powered off, the power indicator does not go off for a long time, which means the Faraday capacitor is not completely discharged, so it is easy to cause the device not to reset normally when it is powered on again.

You need to wait for the Faraday capacitor to be completely discharged and then power up again and wait for the device to power up.

5. Check if the failure to boot is caused by dropping the program

The reason for no power-on beep in DashCam products may be due to incomplete device upgrade and incomplete burn-in, at which point the program needs to be re-burned.

During the operation of the device, part of the program is lost resulting in the inability to turn on the device, in which case the program needs to be re-burned.

Burning program need to make a burner card, different versions of the burner software is different, you can get the burner software with our technical staff.

Different platform products are burned in different ways, please check the operating instructions for details.

Burn-in software:[CardKit.zip](http://118.195.179.210:9000/server/index.php?s=/api/attachment/visitFile&sign=373e10dfacafc542b485f30b45606f93 "[CardKit.zip")

Attention:The burn-in card should not be used as an ordinary memory card inserted into the device, which will probably lead to repeated abnormal reboots of the device. The burned card needs to be restored with CardKit before it can be used as a regular memory card(It is recommended to prepare a separate burn-in card to eliminate the need to recreate it each time).

6. For DashCam products with reset button, you can long press the reset button to restore WiFi factory settings

For products with reset button, if you can't get the WiFi of the machine, you can long press the reset button to make it restore WiFi factory settings to get the WiFi of the machine.

The position of the reset key is shown in the figure:

7. Machines that require external wifi

Such as the T5504B, you need to connect external wifi to search for the device's wifi.

8. DVR product hard drive lock status

The machine hard drive lock needs to be locked in order to power on.
